You can replace your Google Pixel 8’s screen by following these easy steps:
Step 1 Gather Mobile Repairing Tools
Collect all these necessary mobile repairing tools to replace your Pixel 8’s screen:
- Heat gun or Hair Dryer
- A Suction Cup
- SIM Tray ejection tool
- A Plastic Opening Pick
- A set of screwdrivers (Phillips or Torx)
- A prying tool or Spudger
- A pair of tweezers
- Adhesive Glue
- Isopropyl Alcohol
- Cotton Bud
- Lint-free cloth

Step 2 Power Off The Google Pixel 8
Follow these steps to turn off your Google Pixel 8:
- Detach all the cables from the phone.
- Press the volume up and the power button together.
- Wait for a few seconds.
- A shutdown menu will pop up on the screen.
- Select the power-off option to turn off your Google Pixel 8.
Step 3 Eject The SIM Card Tray
- A tiny hole is located near the SIM Tray of your Google Pixel 8.
- Inject and push the SIM ejection tool into the hole.

Step 6 Insert An Opening Pick
- Take a plastic opening pick.
- Mark 3mm on the opening pick with the help of a meter rule.
- Insert the opening pick in the gap between the screen and the phone frame up to 3mm.
Step 7 Cut Through the Bottom Adhesive
- Move the opening pick from the lower right corner of your phone to the lower left corner.
- To cut the bottom adhesive glue, repeat this step twice.
Step 8 Slice The Left Adhesive
- Slide the opening pick from the lower left to the upper left corner at least two times.
- Do not insert the pick more than 3mm inside the phone since the screen cable is on the left side.
Step 9 Cut The Upper Adhesive
- Keep sliding the pick from the upper left corner of the phone to the upper right corner.
- Repeat this step twice or thrice To remove the upper edge adhesive.
Step 10 Remove The Right Side Adhesive
- Now move the pick from the upper right to the lower right corner.
- Repeat this sliding motion twice to cut the right side adhesive glue.
- If it is difficult to cut the adhesive, you can reheat the phone for 2 minutes. Heat will melt the adhesive and be easy to slice.
Step 11 Prop Up The Screen
- After cutting the adhesive from all four sides, open the screen like a book.
Step 12 Remove The Screen Cable Cover
- Keep the screen in an upright position to disconnect it from the phone.
- Disconnect the screen cable cover with a spudger.
Step 13 Disconnect The Screen
- Unclip the screen’s press connector with a spudger or prying tool.
Step 14 Remove The Screen
- After disconnecting the screen from the phone frame, remove the screen.
- Keep it aside.
Step 15 Clean The Old Adhesive
- Dip a cotton bud into the Isopropyl Alcohol.
- Rub this cotton bud around the edges of the phone frame to soften the old adhesive.
- Wait for 2 minutes.
- Isopropyl Alcohol will melt the old adhesive.
- Wipe away the old adhesive with a clean cotton cloth.
Step 16 Attach The New Screen
- Connect the new screen’s press connector to the phone.
- Fix the screen’s press connector cover.
- Apply new adhesive around the edges of the phone frame.
- Carefully attach the new screen to your phone.
