What area is suitable For an iPhone 15 Plus Earpiece Speaker Replacement

A clean and well-lit space is best for replacing an iPhone 15 Plus earpiece speaker. Make sure you have a flat surface to work on like a table or desk. Keep all your tools and parts organized nearer to you for easy access. Avoid dusty or cluttered areas as small parts can easily get lost. A quiet space will help you focus on the repair without distractions.

Step #1. Preparing iPhone 15 Plus For Disassembling

Step #1. Preparing iPhone 15 Plus For Disassembling
  • Preparing your iPhone 15 Plus for disassembling means removing all the cables and wires from the phone. Any plugged-in cable or wire can cause issues with your phone.
  • Now switch off the phone. For this press the power button along with the volume up button at the same time
  • Wait until the “Power Off” slider appears.
  • After sliding it will take a few seconds to power it completely off. Now go on!

Precaution

  • You have to check that your phone is not fully charged before disassembling it.
  • Drain the battery at least 25%.
  • A battery that is more than 25% charged is more susceptible to catching fire if accidentally damaged during disassembling.

Step #2. Open Pentalobe Screws and Remove Them

Step #2. Open Pentalobe Screws and Remove Them
  • To open the Pentalobe Screws you will take a P2 screwdriver.
  • These screws are 7.7 mm long on either side of the charging port. Open them and remove them.
  • Keep these screws safely aside to use them when reassembling the phone.

Step #3. Apply Heat at the Bottom Edge of the iPhone 15 Plus Back Glass

Step #3. Apply Heat at the Bottom Edge of the iPhone 15 Plus Back Glass
  • The back is adhered to the frame with the adhesive. If we apply heat the adhesive will melt and let the back glass separate quickly.
  • You can use a heat gun, hair dryer, hair straightener, or hot plate for heat application.
  • Don't apply excessive heat because the battery or the screen can get damaged.
  • You need to check the back glass with your hand to prevent excessive heat application. Feel the warmth until it gets too hot to touch.

Extra Step

  • If your iPhone 15 Plus’s back glass or screen is cracked or damaged you can cure it with a transparent tap.
  • Apply the tape and fully cover the screen/back glass.
  • This cure will protect your eyes or face from the shattered particles of the glass.

Step #4. Applying Suction Tool

Step #4. Applying Suction Tool
Step #4. Applying Suction Tool2
  • Now we will apply the suction handle on the back glass.
  • Try to make sure it is applied in the center of the Bottom Edge.
  • The suction handle needs to be pulled with a very steady hand.
  • Create a line gap for opening pick insertion.

Step #5. Insert Opening Pick

Step #5. Insert Opening Pick
  • Now insert an opening pick into the gap between the back glass and the frame.
  • For this step, you have to mark the pick with a 3 mm measurement. Marking is a guideline for determining how much of the tip of the pick is inserted into the phone.
  • You are not allowed to insert a pick longer than 5 mm in the bottom edge of the iPhone Plus.

Check the Back Glass Information

Check the Back Glass Information
  • Be cautious around specific areas as you cut through the adhesive holding the back glass.
  • A small and delicate cable connects the back glass to the phone near the volume-up button. To avoid cutting the cable don’t insert your opening tool here.
  • Several small spring contacts are around the edges of the phone. Be careful not to push your opening tool too deep as this can bend or damage these contacts.
  • Work slowly and gently to prevent any accidental damage.

Step #6. Cut the Bottom Edge Adhesive

Step #6. Cut the Bottom Edge Adhesive
Step #6. Cut the Bottom Edge Adhesive2
  • Now move the opening pick back and forth to cut the adhesive.
  • You need to leave your opening pick here on the right bottom edge. So this side can stick again.

Step #7. Apply Heat on the All Edges of the Phone

Step #7. Apply Heat on the All Edges of the Phone
Step #7. Apply Heat on the All Edges of the Phone2

  • Apply heat at the right edge of the iPhone 15 Plus.
  • Then move toward the top edge and then the left of the phone.
  • Gradually apply heat to all edges of the phone. Check every side to make sure that there is enough heat to melt the adhesive inside all the edges.

Step #8. Separating The Adhesive from All Edges

Step #8. Separating The Adhesive from All Edges
Step #8. Separating The Adhesive from All Edges2
Step #8. Separating The Adhesive from All Edges3
  • After this heating process you will move the inserted opening pick to the bottom edge.
  • Cut the adhesive from the bottom right corner and take the pick toward the phone's right edge.
  • Along the right edge you will not insert the opening pick more than 7 mm long.
  • Keep sliding the opening pick on the phone's right edge to separate the back glass.
  • Be careful while cutting the adhesive on this side. Feel the strong stop. That is the hook securing the back glass to the frame.
  • Move your opening pick like twisting to release the hook from the frame.
  • Then leave the pick near the volume button. (As mentioned above, don't insert the pick along the volume button edges.)

Step #9. Insert Second Opening Pick

Step #9. Insert Second Opening Pick

Step #9. Insert Second Opening Pick4
  • Insert the second opening pick into the bottom edge and rotate it to cut the adhesive from the bottom left corner edge.
  • Slide the pick toward the left edge of the iPhone 15 Plus.
  • You can only insert the opening pick up to 5 mm deep along the left edges.
  • Now slide pick up to the top left edge corner.
  • You can apply more heat if you find it difficult to cut the adhesive.
  • Rotate the opening pick from the top corner edge of the phone.
  • At the top edge inserting the pick is only 3 mm deep.
  • Here you feel the two clips that secure the back glass to the frame. Twist and turn the pick to release the clips. Here for the clips releasing sound.
  • After cutting the adhesive from the top edge of the phone rotate the pick around the top left corner to separate it from the frame.
  • You can again apply heat at this stage if you find it difficult to move the pick.
  • Carefully reach the right edges and cut the adhesive to the volume bottom.
  • Along the top right edge only insert the pick 4 mm deep.
  • Now you have two opening picks inserted in the right edge. Twist and turn both the pick to separate the frame from the volume button as we can not insert the pick here.

Step #10. Swing Open the Back Glass

Step #10. Swing Open the Back Glass
Step #10. Swing Open the Back Glass2
  • Now the entire back glass has been released and we can prop up the back glass.
  • Swing open the back glass like opening a book cover.
  • Gently open it from the phone's left side to the right side.
  • From the right side the back glass is still connected with the cable.
  • If the back glass feels stuck don't forcefully open it. Apply heat and cut the adhesive with the opening tool.
  • To avoid straining the cables rest the back glass on the raised edges or use the book stake/box.
